John d'Erly/medieval wardship

I am working on a paper that will eventually become my thesis, and I need a
little help with some sources. The tentative subject is on the system
of Knighthood and Wardship, with William Marshal and his squire/vassal and
mesnie leader, John of Early (John d'Erly) I have read and own Duby's
translation of Wm's life, David Crouch's new bio, Painter's massive
bio, and Warren's bios of Henry 2 and John. I have also read
Gillingham's Angevin Empire.
What I need the most help with are sources for John d'Erly and for Wardship
in Plantagenet Britain. Language would not be a problem as I am gaining
confidence in French and Welsh [with good dicts. :)] and Latin is not much
of a hindrance.
