The first Summer Institute on Medievalism, arranged by the Editors
of Studies in Medievalism in conjunction with the Centre for
Medieval Studies at the University of York, England, will take place
July 5-July 27, 1995 (special arrangements will be made for those
who wish to attend the Congress on Medieval Studies at the nearby
University of Leeds 10-13 July).
In addition to an interdisciplinary core course from 1500 to the
present, together with guest lectures on selected topics, a flexible
program of seminars and tutorials is designed to accommodate both
established scholars at an advanced level and graduate students
(or qualified undergraduates) at an introductory level. Graduate
credit will be available. Cost is yet undertermined, but will be
as modest as possible. Special arrangements can be made for
scholars accompanying groups of graduate students.
