I know this has nothing to do with medieval studies but this is the
only history list I belong to.
I am interested in film and have read a number of reviews of The
madness of George III (AKA The madness of King George) Several of
them refer to the porphyria theory of his madness. Several years ago
I read a convincing book by the South African expert on this disease,
which is hereditary in a number of South African families. He showed
that the porphyria theory was very unlikely to be true. Does anyone
know this book or alternatively can you suggest the correct list to
post this query to.
