I find the easiest and cheapest way to get money orders in
sterling in the US is through Ruesch International in Washington
DC. You just call them 800-424-2923, ask for the international
division. Explain what you need. They will tell you the dollar
amount using that day's exchange rate, plus a $2 service fee.
Then you send them a personal check for the amount, and they will
mail the sterling check to you. You don't need to have an account
with them to use their services, but you can get one if you do a
lot of business internationally.
