I have a NatWest current account in sterling, which I top up (as I
see fit) when in Britain with cash taken from an automatic teller
drawing on my dollar account in the US. Charges: $3 to use the tell
to access the US account. Drawback: daily dollar limit to withdraw.
Greatest plus: currency conversion with the big boys giving the rate
quoted in the FT or WSJ (more than makes back the $3). FWIW.
