CALL FOR PAPERS!!!
18th Annual Warren Susman Graduate History Conference
Rutgers University, April 20, 1996
The 18th Annual Warren Susman Graduate History Conference is scheduled for
Saturday, April 20, 1996. This year's conference will be held at Woodlawn
Center on Douglass Campus in New Brunswick, New Jersey.
This conference was initiated 17 years ago by women in the Rutgers History
program and was renamed in 1988 to honor the contributions that the late
Professor Susman, a leading scholar of American culture, made to the Rutgers
department. This conference is a student-coordinated event that provides a
forum for graduate students to share their work with fellow students and
faculty.
The Conference does not have a specific theme. Individual paper abstracts,
panel proposals or roundtable discussions on any historical topic are
welcome.
Please submit a one page abstract (for an 8-10 page paper) or a subject and
participant list (for a roundtable discussion). Also include a
self-addressed, stamped postcard.
The deadline for submission is FEBRUARY 1, 1996.
