assessments of the impact of ToolBook. The emphasis of
the conference is on identifying good practice and
successful implementation.

The conference programme will be based around three
parallel paper sessions and live demonstrations. In
addition, there will be the opportunity for workshop
sessions and special interest group meetings.

Comprehensive computing and audio-visual facilities
will be available at the hotel, as well as access to a
fully networked suite of PC's at the University of
Bristol.

About the University of Bristol
-------------------------------
The University of Bristol has extensive experience of
the development of computer based learning material
and multimedia courseware using ToolBook. It hosts the
CTI Centres for Economics and Medicine as well as a
number of Teaching and Learning Technology Programme
projects, including the Economics Consortium,
developers of WinEcon.

About the City of Bristol
-------------------------
Bristol is a port city situated in the South West of
England, approximately 100 miles from London. Travel
to Bristol is possible by road (junctions to both M4
and M5 motorways), train (two stations serve direct
lines to London and the North) and by air, with
Bristol Airport offering connections both nationally
and internationally.

Bristol's early wealth stemmed from its involvement in
the shipping industry, and this maritime history is
reflected in a number of exhibitions in the restored
floating harbour and docks. This early wealth also
created an extensive architectural heritage, which is
dominated by the contribution of the city's adopted
son, Isambard Kingdom Brunel. His work, both as a
designer and engineer is visible in almost every part
of the city, but is perhaps best known for the elegant
Clifton Suspension Bridge which spans the Avon Gorge.

About the Hilton National
-------------------------
The Hilton National is one of Bristol's premiere four
star hotels, offering excellent conference and
residential accommodation. It is located close to the
city's historic floating harbour and docks, and is
within easy walking distance of Bristol Temple Meads
railway station. The hotel's facilities include a
swimming pool and gymnasium, which will be available
for use by conference delegates.
