With regard to Dave Postles request for works on Tudor/Stuart history
which have been informed by sociology and anthropology, I wonder if I
could mention my
*Going to the wars: the experience of the British Civil Wars 1638-53
(Routledge, 1992) which was much influenced by military sociologists such
as S L A Marshall, John Keegan and Richard Holmes.
