I have used novels for an upper level undergraduate course, Joanne, and
the students were enthusiastic. The one they liked best was "Keep the
Aspidistra Flying," by Orwell. They were wonderfully mystified by
Huxley's "Crome Yellow," and also liked Waugh's "Handful of Dust."
