This guide to children's materials on Africa contains reviews written by university professors, librarians, and teachers, most of whom have lived in Africa and have graduate degrees in the study of Africa. Africa Access includes hints on how to enrich teaching through the use of certain books, as well as detailed and thorough reviews with recommendations. This is an excellent source for anyone interested in finding teaching materials and children's books on Africa.
 
Afrophile: Recommended Titles on Africa for Children and Young People

This annotated bibliography lists over 500 titles of resources on Africa which are geared specifically for audiences from the elementary/primary level to high school. Only those materials receiving favorable recommendations from scholars on Africa are chosen for inclusion in Afrophile. Afrophile is a very useful source for educators and parents interested in obtaining good materials about Africa for children and young adults.
