On the postcolonial and the postmodern, one interesting reference is
the chapter from Kwame Anthony Appiah's book *In My Father's House*.
I think it was originally a paper called "Is the Post in Post-Colonial
the same as the Post in Post-Modern?", although there is no mention
of that in the book.
