TRANSITIONS IN WEST AFRICA: TOWARDS 2000 AND BEYOND
***************************************************

There will be a conference on Transitions in West Africa: Towards
2000 and Beyond to be held at the University of Central Lancashire,
Preston, UK in association with the African Studies Association of
the UK on 1-3 September 1995.

The conference will be a multi-disciplinary event dealing with
transitions in West Africa. We hope to gather scholars from the
region and outside to discuss the complex changes that are occurring
in the 1990s, and suggest likely and practical scenarios for the
future.
