I am writing a monograph on the Italo-Ethiopian War. In Tokyo I came
across a letter in the Record Office from "J. Adol Marr" to "C. Hanew"
dated March 4, 1934, wherein Adol Marr offers the Japanese extensive
business and commercial opportunities. Adol Marr describes himself as
a retired counsellor of state and friend of Ethiopia's foreign minister.
Does anyone know more about either him or C. Hanew?
I am interested in general in Japanese contacts with Ethiopia c.
1930-1941. I have some information, but more is always better. Any
suggestions?

Thanks
