The 1996 conference of the World History Association will be held at
California State Polytechnic University, Pomona, June 21-23, 1996.
The major theme of the conference is Science and Technology in World
History. The conference aims at the examination of the role and
nature of technology and its social, political, economic, and ethical
impact on the world from antiquity to the present.
Proposals for papers and panels on these and related topics, as well
as on issues pertaining to the teaching of world history, are
welcome. The deadline for the submission of panel/paper proposals is
January 29, 1996.
