---SAMPLE LETTER--- To H-Net Council: I accept nomination [OR] I wish to apply to serve as a Teaching Editor for H-XXXX. I am aware that H-Net's certification of editors is normally for a two-year period. I will serve in accordance with H-Net's Constitution, bylaws, and policies. Here is why I believe I satisfy at least two of these four qualifications for serving as a Teaching Editor: 1. A command of theoretical and practical issues in teaching: describe your work as a teacher and/or as an educator of teachers as well as any publications concerned with teaching/pedagogy. Concern with the role of technology in education, and ways of promoting their effective combination: list your experience and expertise in educational technology and describe your philosophy for using technology in the service of education.
