The Taube Center for Jewish Studies at Stanford University invites qualified candidates to apply to the Dr. Eli Reinhard Postdoctoral Fellowship. The Reinhard Fellow will be appointed for two-years, beginning in the Fall of 2022.
We invite applications from Jewish Studies scholars with a focus in Religious Studies, law, or gender in any time period, whose research interests would complement and contribute to the ongoing work of our faculty and our students, and whose work promises to make a significant contribution to the field of Jewish Studies.
The Fellowship will provide a minimum annual salary of $69,000, and will include benefits and an annual research stipend. This is a full-time position, housed in the Taube Center for Jewish Studies. The Fellow will be expected to be in residence at Stanford, and to be an active member of our scholarly community. This includes being available to students for mentoring or teaching a course, participating in the Graduate Student Research Colloquium, and presenting a public lecture or workshop each year reflecting the progress of their research. The Fellow may not undertake any other sustained employment for the duration of their postdoctoral appointment.
Applicants must have earned their PhD within the past 3 years. Advanced doctoral students applying must include a statement from their dissertation supervisor indicating that they will have the Ph.D. conferred by July 1, 2022. Preference will be given to candidates who have not previously held another postdoctoral appointment.
