The Department of East Asian Languages and Cultures at Washington University in St. Louis invites applications for a full-time Lecturer in Korean language to begin fall 2021. The initial term of the appointment will be for one academic year, with renewal contingent upon performance. Responsibilities include teaching or co-teaching all levels of modern Korean language to heritage and non-heritage learners, developing teaching materials and student engagement programs.
Candidates should have a minimum of an M.A. in Korean linguistics, language pedagogy, second-language acquisition, or a related field with native or near-native proficiency in Korean and English. Experience in teaching Korean at all levels at a U.S university is required.
