The Department of History, Philosophy, and Religious Studies of Eastern Kentucky University is accepting applications for a tenure-track assistant professorship with a specialization in Modern European history to begin August 2021. Although all areas of specialization are welcome, the department is particularly interested in scholars whose work emphasizes imperialism. The successful applicant will be expected to teach World History surveys as part of the department’s General Education course offerings, as well as upper-division and M.A. courses in nineteenth and twentieth century European history. Teaching experience is required. The incumbent must have a Ph.D. in-hand at time of the appointment; degree(s) must be from a regionally accredited or internationally recognized institution.
