The Department of History, Philosophy and Religion at Drury University seeks a broadly-trained world historian to teach introductory and upper level world history classes and courses in the Your Drury Fusion core curriculum. This position is a two-year appointment and begins August 2021. We seek a candidate passionate about teaching, dedicated to student advising, committed to scholarly inquiry, engaged with community service, and eager to shape the future of a nimble, ever-adapting department.
Strong teaching skills and active research agenda and a Ph.D. in history are required. Preference will be given to candidates who can teach Asian history. Other world history fields (Latin America; Race, Migration or Diaspora Studies; Africa; twentieth-century World; film history; etc.) would add to a candidate’s viability and the breadth of our department.
