The University of Houston-Clear Lake (UHCL) invites applications for a tenure-track position at the rank of Assistant Professor with expertise in early European history. We are especially interested in applicants whose research and teaching interests include: the ancient world, medieval Europe, or other related emergent subfields that would enrich our current curriculum. This position carries a 3-3 teaching load. Teaching responsibilities will include World Civilization until 1500, an undergraduate course on the ancient world, and upper-level undergraduate and graduate courses in early European history and related subfields. The appointment will begin on August 1, 2021; the Ph.D. is expected by that date.
