Summary
The Program Coordinator will assist in operating the Grant Center for the American Jewish Experience, Tulane University's world-class hub of Jewish learning, dedicated to the innovative and holistic study of American Jews. The program coordinator will coordinate public, scholarly, and other internal programming, help to manage faculty and student research projects, oversee the center's student engagement activities, oversee the center's online marketing and presence, serve as the managing editor of AmericanJewishStudies.org, and assist in the overall operation of the Grant Center.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Ability to project plan in order to establish and meet deadlines, manage workload, and to effectively prioritize tasks

Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, both orally and through writing

Ability to organize online and in-person programs

Familiarity with the intellectual contours of American Jewish Studies, academia, and the research process
Required Education and/or Experience

Bachelor's degree
OR -
High school diploma or equivalent and four years of directly related work experience
Preferred Qualifications
-
MA or PhD related to the American Jewish experience
