Carleton College seeks to fill a position in African-American history for the 2020-21 academic year. This appointment is for five courses to be taught during the academic year (three ten-week terms). Teaching obligations may include a survey of African-American history and more specialized courses. As well as strength in research, the successful candidate will have demonstrated interest and potential for excellence in undergraduate teaching. Candidates should have the Ph.D. in hand by Sept. 1, 2020.
