Position Summary and Responsibilities
The Department of History at Vassar College invites applications for a Mellon Post-doctoral Fellow in African American history. Area of research in African American history is open, but preference will be given to candidates whose work focuses on women, gender, and/or LGTBQ history as well as scholarly interests that could contribute to Vassar's rich multidisciplinary programs This is a full-time, 2-year position beginning in the Fall semester of 2020 that carries with it a teaching load of three courses per year. Applicants must have received the Ph.D. between January 1, 2018, and July 1, 2020. Salary and benefits are competitive.
Qualifications
