The Department of Psychology at Huron University College invites applications for a tenure-track appointment at the rank of Assistant Professor in Cognitive Psychology, subject to final budgetary approval. The appointment rank will commence July 1, 2020. All applications will be considered with preference given to those candidates with an established research background in any area of cognitive psychology. The ability to teach research design and statistics at the undergraduate level would be considered an asset.
The successful candidate will join a vibrant and tight-knit community of faculty who are committed to delivering a high-quality undergraduate experience in a small, liberal arts context. The successful candidate will be expected to teach 2/3 teaching load of undergraduate courses per year (including a share of our team-taught Introductory Psychology course), maintain a research program that is inclusive of undergraduate researchers, and engage in the administrative life of the department and university.
Applicants should have a completed Ph.D., evidence of excellence in undergraduate teaching and an established research record in their field. Applicants should send a curriculum vitae, teaching dossier (including recent teaching evaluations), research dossier showing evidence of research trajectory, and a list of three referees with contact information.
