Kennesaw State University is now accepting applications for a nine-month, tenure track Assistant Professor of History faculty position in the Department of History and Philosophy which begins August 2020.
We welcome applications representing all thematic and methodological approaches to the history of armed conflict, and expertise in all regions and chronological periods. The successful applicant will teach a course on the American military experience, upper-level courses in the history of war, and the general education survey in either world or American history. Faculty teach courses in a variety of modalities, including face-to-face, hybrid and online. A commitment to excellence in teaching, an active and innovative research agenda and service to the institution are expected of all faculty members in KSU’s College of Humanities and Social Sciences.
An earned doctorate in History or related studies or the foreign equivalent; a commitment to diversity and inclusiveness; a record of excellence in teaching; a record of scholarship and a promising research agenda; and a commitment to service and engagement.
