Continuing faculty status (BYU equivalent of “tenure”) track or visiting faculty appointment at Brigham Young University, to begin August 2020. PhD required by employment start date. Applications are welcome from candidates in all fields of pre-modern, non-Western world history. Scholars working on south or southeast Asia, or the middle east/western Asia, are especially encouraged to apply. Teaching load will include World Civilizations before 1500, courses in field of specialization, and other service and core courses in history. Those with a strong research agenda and exceptional teaching ability are encouraged to apply. Salary commensurate with experience and rank. BYU is an equal opportunity employer.
