Ball State University’s Department of History is accepting applications for a full time one-year contract faculty position in public history available August 2019.
Minimum qualifications: Education: ABD in history from an accredited college or university, with specialization in public history. Teaching: Ability to teach courses in public history and the “West in the World” survey which teaches western civilizations in the context of continuous global interaction.
Candidates for searches must have current authorization to be employed in the U.S. without employer sponsorship.
Preferred qualifications: Education: Ph.D. in history from an accredited college or university, with specialization in public history. Teaching: Interest in using new digital approaches that help distill historical meaning from texts and artifacts, and in new modes of presenting these in electronic formats.
Ball State University is located in Muncie, Indiana, approximately 45 miles northeast of Indianapolis.
