The programs of Film & Media Studies, and Gender, Sexuality, and Women’s Studies at William & Mary invite applications for a one-year non-tenure-track position as Visiting Assistant Professor. The successful applicant will be joint appointed to both programs, and teach (3:3 load) courses that support the core curriculum, including FMST 250 and GSWS 205, as well as electives that enhance current offerings. Preferred areas of expertise include feminist or queer filmmaking, television studies, video art, game studies, animation, virtual reality, or global media as well as work with gender, queer, critical race, or postcolonial theory.
Required: ABD status is required at the time appointment begins (August 10, 2019).
Preferred: A Ph.D. is preferred at the time appointment begins. At least the equivalent of one year’s full-time teaching is preferred.
