Mount Saint Mary College invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track position as Assistant Professor of History beginning Fall 2019.
Requirements: Candidates must have a Ph.D. in European history in hand or by the time of appointment. The area of specialization is open, but preference will be given to candidates with preparation in intellectual history. Candidates should be able to teach European History survey courses, upper-division courses in modern European History, and the History of Political Thought.
The successful candidate will also be expected to demonstrate and maintain a strong scholarly agenda in their historical field, to advise students, and to contribute to the life and work of the division and the college.
Located approximately 70 miles north of New York City in the scenic Hudson Valley, Mount Saint Mary is a liberal arts college with a Dominican tradition.
