The Department of History at the University of Maryland seeks an assistant, associate, or full professor in the field of African American History. Applications from scholars in all areas of specialization from the colonial period to the present are welcome. A strong record of research and teaching is required. The successful candidate will actively research and publish, teach graduate and undergraduate history courses, mentor graduate students, serve on administrative committees, and participate fully as a faculty member in the department.
