Bard College invites applications for a Tenure-track Assistant Professor of 20th Century U.S. History. Bard is a highly selective co-educational liberal arts college located in the Hudson Valley, 90 miles north of New York City and in proximity to major archives in Albany, Hyde Park, and the greater New York City region. The successful candidate will be able to teach survey and advanced courses in U.S. history since 1876 as well as have the opportunity to develop courses in the candidate's area of specialization and that have interdisciplinary potential. The successful candidate will be expected to have completed all the requirements for the doctoral degree by August 2019.
