JOB DESCRIPTION
The Salameno School of Humanities and Global Studies at Ramapo College of New Jersey invites applications for a Temporary Assistant Professor of History position beginning September 1, 2018. The successful candidate will teach courses in late 19th /early 20th century U.S. history. The candidate will also be expected to teach the second half of the U.S. survey (1865-present). Teaching load is 3-3. This one-year position has the possibility of being renewed for another year. In addition to teaching 3 courses in each semester, faculty members are expected to maintain active participation in research, college governance, and academic advisement.
REQUIREMENTS
Earned Ph.D in History, or closely related field by September 2018. The field of specialization is open, but the candidate must be able to teach upper-level courses on the American West and Native American history. College teaching experience required. Full-time teaching experience preferred.
