One-year Renewable Contract
The College of Religious Studies (CRS), Mahidol University invites applications for a one-year renewable contract position in Religious Studies, specialization Buddhism, at the level of Lecturer, Foreign Expert.
Applicants should have a PhD in Religious Studies (the academic/scientific study of religion) or Buddhist Studies; scholars in related humanities and social sciences may apply as long as their dissertation and research fit the job posting. Preference will be given to applicants working in contemporary East Asian Buddhism, and special preference to scholars of contemporary Chinese Buddhism. CRS is looking for a scholar whose current research directly addresses modern/contemporary aspects and issues in Buddhism from an academic standpoint. Completed PhD required. The selected candidate will teach courses at the undergraduate and graduate levels (medium of instruction is English) along with conducting research and performing administrative duties.
Review of applications will begin 15 November 2017 with interviews beginning in December 2017 and will continue until the position is filled. Ideal starting date is early 2018.
