FACULTY VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT:
The Department of History at Baruch College of the City University of New York invites applicants for a tenure-track assistant professorship in the history of the Islamic World to begin August 2018. Specialization is open, but preference will be given to candidates whose research focuses on the Middle East and/or North Africa. Teaching duties include a global history survey and upper level undergraduate electives. Active research, committee participation and service are also expected.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Ph.D. degree in area(s) of experience or equivalent. Also required are the ability to teach successfully, demonstrated scholarship or achievement, and ability to cooperate with others for the good of the institution.
