The History Department at Gonzaga University invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor beginning in fall of 2018. We seek a teacher-scholar of the Modern Middle East and/or Modern Africa (1800 to present) with experience teaching History of World Civilization II. Qualifications: Ph.D. in History, with specialty in the Modern Middle East or Modern Africa. ABD considered, with the expectation the candidate will have the degree in hand by August 1, 2018; evidence of teaching effectiveness at the college level; and evidence of active research program.
