Modern Europe in the Long Nineteenth Century. The Department of History at Brown University invites applications for a tenure-track assistant professor position in modern Europe, with an emphasis on the long nineteenth century (French Revolution to World War I). Preference will be given to continental Europe. The appointment will begin on July 1, 2018, or as soon as possible thereafter. Ph.D. or equivalent is required by time of appointment.
