The Macalester College Department of English invites applications for a tenure-track position in Creative Writing-Prose at the rank of Assistant Professor. Area(s) of specialization may include long or short forms in any creative prose genre(s) including, but not limited to: creative nonfiction, fiction, memoir, or experimental or digital writing. Completed MFA or PhD in Creative Writing and a significant record of publication in nationally recognized venues, including a published book of prose with a press of national standing, are required. The successful candidate will join a renowned and collegial faculty in a department with a thriving creative writing program, teach students at all levels from introductory creative writing to senior honors projects, and have ample opportunities for new course development. Beginning Fall 2018.
