NORTHWESTERN UNIVERSITY, The Department of African-American Studies invites applications for a one-year visiting appointment beginning September 1, 2017 at the rank of Visiting Assistant Professor for a specialist in African American Studies and culture with a focus on social scientific approaches to race. The successful candidate will teach six courses and contribute to the undergraduate program including responsibility for introductory courses taught in large lecture format as well as small classes on selected topics. PhD in African-American Studies or a related field is a required qualification.
