The Department of History and Geography invites applications for a one-year Visiting Assistant Professorship in History of the Atlantic World, beginning August 2017 and renewable for up to two additional years. The successful candidate will have a Ph.D. by the time of appointment and will be able to offer courses in their area of specialization, preferably Latin America or the Caribbean, in addition to teaching in the university’s core curriculum. The department welcomes applications from candidates whose research and teaching have comparative and/or transnational dimensions and highly values effective teaching.
