The Department of History at Howard University invites applications for a tenure-track, assistant professorship in United States history to begin August 2017. The candidate must have a doctorate in United States history, with specialization in the Colonial Period (especially slavery). Responsibilities would include teaching introductory level lecture courses, colloquia and seminars for undergraduates; and graduate courses in the candidate’s specialization. Salary will be competitive.
