Adelphi University is a nationally ranked, doctoral research university offering exceptional liberal arts and sciences programs and professional training with particular strength in its Core Four—AU Arts and Humanities, AU STEM and Social Sciences, AU Professions, and AU Health and Wellness. The Political Science Department at Adelphi University is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Visiting Assistant Professor for the 2017-2018 academic year, beginning Fall, 2017.
Candidates must have a Ph.D. and bring teaching experience and research expertise in comparative politics. Specifically, the department is looking for candidates with expertise in non-European area studies, security studies, and/or comparative foreign policy. Potential for excellent teaching and research at an undergraduate institution is essential. The teaching load is 18 credits per academic year. The successful applicant will have the opportunity to work with departmental mentors in teaching and research. This position has the potential to be renewed.
