Job Summary
The University of San Francisco invites applications for the Gerardo Marín Postdoctoral Fellowship for 2017-2018 academic year. The Gerardo Marín Postdoctoral Fellowship seeks to help increase the presence of currently underrepresented racial and ethnic groups in the U.S. professoriate by supporting post-doctoral scholars.
Job Responsibilities
The program is a “teaching postdoc,” intended to develop participants as both researchers and teachers. The program will provide compensation, a modest budget for research supplies, and limited support for relocation. Fellows will be mentored by a senior faculty member; in the lab sciences, this mentor will provide lab space. Additional support includes computer and library privileges.
Minimum Requirements
Candidates in disciplines in which racial and ethnic groups are traditionally underrepresented will receive special consideration. Candidates must have completed their doctorate by Summer 2017, and be considering a career in one of the following fields:
Education: Counseling Psychology, Leadership Studies, Learning and Instruction, International and Multicultural Education, Teacher Education
