The Development Specialist reports to the VP for Development or his/her designee. In addition to CUNY Title Overview duties, the Development Specialist will be responsible to:
- Process all charitable gifts and coordinate prompt and accurate acknowledgements to donors.
- Maintain integrity of Raiser's Edge (RE) database, developing protocols, including quality audits, registrar uploads, and annual NCOA.
- Monitor RE Net Community Spark (coordinating online gift processing and E- communications).
- Generate weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports (including statistical, financial, and analytical) as directed.
- Create mailing lists, queries, and other data extractions as requested by Development staff.
- Reconcile with BMCC Finance Department and CUNY Research Foundation Office.
- Assist with prospect and donor research.
Contributes to organizing and administering College fundraising activities.
- Manages research of potential funding sponsors
- Tracks and analyzes giving trends; prepares financial and ad-hoc reports
- Conducts data quality audits
- Oversees preparation of fundraising communication materials
- Writes grant proposals
- Recommends, implements and evaluates fundraising strategies
- May supervise office operations and/or department budget
- Performs related duties as assigned.
Bachelor's Degree and four years' related experience required. Extensive knowledge of and experience with Raiser's Edge Database or related systems. Closing Date: 10/27/16

$42,873 - $74,133
