The Graduate School of Science and Technology Policy (STP) at Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST) is inviting applicants to apply for a tenure-track assistant or associate professor in Information Technology and Artificial Intelligence (IT/AI) Policy. We are particularly interested in scholars exploring the policy aspects regarding governance of emerging information technologies such as cybersecurity, privacy, internet governance, artificial intelligence, robotics, Internet of Things (IoT), digital life and the public sphere, etc.
We are seeking highly qualified candidates trained in law, public policy & administration, sociology, history, philosophy, anthropology, science and technology studies (STS), and other relevant fields. We welcome applicants capable of collaborating with our science and engineering faculty, employing interdisciplinary methods and comparative perspectives.
Ph.D. or equivalent is required prior to appointment, which is expected to begin on March 1, 2017. The starting date is negotiable. The successful candidate will be jointly appointed with the KAIST Graduate School of Information Security (GSIS), which would entail co-advising of GSIS graduate students as well as teaching one or two courses per year at GSIS.
