Summary of Position: The University of North Carolina Wilmington’s International Studies program invites applications for a full-time, non-tenure-eligible renewable position in International Studies at the rank of lecturer starting August 1, 2017.
The teaching load is 4/4, and the successful candidate will be expected to teach the Introduction to International Studies course, an interdisciplinarity methodology course, the capstone course, and upper-level courses in International Studies. Most of these courses will be online, so preference will be given to applicants with successful college-level, online, interdisciplinary teaching experience, display evidence of excellence in teaching, and have a strong interest in curriculum development. A Ph.D. in International Studies or other relevant discipline preferred. The area of specialization is open, but one that complements our faculty would be ideal. Such specializations include, but are not limited to Latin America, global public health, security studies, international NGOs, and so forth. Applicants are expected to have significant international experience and facility with a language other than English. Salary will depend on qualifications.
Minimum Requirements: MA in field related to International Studies, international experience
