The Department of History at Stephen F. Austin State University in Nacogdoches, Texas, invites applications for a tenure-track position in Latin American history at the assistant professor level to begin in August 2017. Applicants should have the Ph.D. in hand by start date; however, well qualified candidates who are ABD will be considered. The successful applicant should specialize in areas that complement those of the department’s current faculty and should be able to teach both halves of US history surveys. The standard teaching load in the department is 12 hours per semester. Review of applications will begin on October 31 and continue until the position is filled.
