The department of History and Political Science at Missouri University of Science & Technology invites applications for a tenure-track assistant professorship for Fall 2017 in the History of Early America and/or the Early Atlantic World. Candidate must be prepared to teach US History survey before 1877 as well as upper-level courses in their area of specialization.
Area of specialization is open but the department is especially interested in candidates who have an additional field of study or emphasis in Latin American, African American, or Native American history.
Missouri S&T is one of nation’s leading research universities. Located about 100 miles west of St. Louis in the community of Rolla, Missouri, S&T is an accessible, safe and friendly campus surrounded by Ozarks scenery. Missouri S&T offers degrees in engineering, the sciences, liberal arts, humanities and business, with master’s and Ph.D. programs available in many of the science and engineering programs and master’s degrees in biological sciences, business administration and technical communication. With nearly 9,000 students enrolled online and on campus, Missouri S&T is big enough to accommodate a diverse population but small enough for individuals to stand out.

Candidates must have PhD in hand no later than August 15, 2017.

Candidates must have PhD no later than August 15, 2017 and must provide evidence of excellence in teaching and scholarship.
