The British Museum has a unique opening for a Curator to be responsible for and represent all aspects of the archaeology and history of Ancient Mesopotamia, with the exception of cuneiform inscriptions. The post-holder will undertake research into and make publicly accessible the collections of objects from Ancient Mesopotamia and other related collections across the Museum. A key aspect of this role will be leading on a major Museum exhibition.
This is an exciting opportunity to lead on innovative project work, such as excavations and fieldwork, important research, exhibitions and gallery refurbishments, while continuously seeking to improve the display of our Mesopotamian collection.
