Curatorial Assistant. [Position #707] The Curatorial Department seeks a Curatorial Assistant to prepare and monitor collections for exhibit, storage or study, and to maintain historic interiors, galleries, and collections storage spaces using preventative conservation techniques, including daily cleaning, integrated pest management, temperature and humidity monitoring, and light-level monitoring. The Curatorial Assistant will help with installation and transportation of collections, as well as inventory, registration, photography of the collection and supervision of special events. The position is Sun- Thurs and reports to the Collections & Exhibitions Manager. Requirements include experience working with museum collections, excellent computing skills, the ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and early morning hours, follow written and oral instructions, work effectively with little supervision, the ability to climb ladders and scaffolds and lift up to 50 lbs.
