The University of Evansville’s History Department invites applications for a one year Visiting Assistant Professor position to begin August 15, 2016. This is a full-time, nine month, non-tenure track position. The successful candidate will teach the first half of the American history survey course as well as upper division courses in American history from the colonial through the ante-bellum period. The committee is open to all applications but is particularly interested in scholarly focus on women, gender, and family or on transnational approaches to early American history. Ph.D. preferred; ABDs considered.
